About Chris

Chris McGrody Fine Furniture and Custom Cabinetry began in the Fall of 2003. The focus of the company is to design, build and install a wide variety of custom furniture, built-ins, entertainment centers and unique cabinetry. The shop is located in Enfield, NH.

Prior to starting the business, Chris worked for three years at a local furniture company building high end Shaker style furniture as well as custom cabinetry and built-ins. While working there as a craftsman, he also ran the workshop program and taught week-long and weekend workshop courses.

Chris is a juried member of the League of NH Craftsmen, at the Hanover, NH Gallery. The League of NH Craftsmen showcases local artisans in wood, jewelry, ceramics, etc. and has galleries throughout the state. Chris is also the President of the Education Board at the League of NH Craftsmen.

Quality and craftsmanship is the driving force behind the company. All furniture is built out of solid wood using traditional joinery. Each piece is signed and dated and guaranteed for workmanship for as long as the client owns the piece. Built-ins are close collaboration with the client to design a beautiful piece that fits their unique environment and meets their functional needs. Careful attention is given to the installation process to ensure a seamless built-in look.
