This piece was designed to fill the wall of the dining room and have a built-in look, but also to be able to be moved and reassembled if the owners move. The center bay is bumped out and houses six drawers and two adjustable shelves. The upper cabinets have glass doors and shelves and are lit by seven halogen lights on a concealed dimmer switch. The countertop is solid cherry milled from 12' long board lengths with the bump out notched out of the same board for a nice seamless look. The backs are solid cherry boards overlapping one another. The drawers are dovetailed maple on full extension, self-closing Blum slides.

The
wiring for the seven lights is concealed in the lower cabinet and is controlled
by one dimmer switch. It plugs into an outlet cut into the back of the
cabinet, so no additional wiring was necessary.
