Painted TV Cabinet
76" W x 96" H x 25" D

The goal of this project was to house the flat panel TV, accommodate the electronics in the cabinet below and provide shelving and storage for the living room.

Another challenge was to fit the built-in around a beam on the back wall and match the crown molding to two different ceiling heights. Like most old farmhouses, the floors are not level and walls are out of square and are not plumb, which requires quite a bit of shimming and scribing for a nice fit.

The cabinet is constructed out of paint-grade plywood and MDF panels with a solid poplar countertop and poplar face frame and door frames. To keep it within budget the client decided to prime and paint it himself.
